At Muslim Sphere, our application is built on a Privacy-First principle — we do not require accounts, we do not store your personal identity, and we are fully transparent about how your device interacts with our services.
Section 01
Data Minimization & Anonymity
We prioritize your privacy by ensuring we do not collect, store, or request any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
No Registration: We do not require names, emails, or phone numbers to use the app.
No Account Required: Muslim Sphere — including the AI assistant — can be used fully without creating an account or providing any registration details. A sign-in option exists solely for users who choose to subscribe to extended AI usage via our I'M AI Unlimited plan; it is entirely optional and limited to that feature only. When a user voluntarily subscribes, their name, email address, and WhatsApp number are collected exclusively for account creation, payment confirmation, and login credential delivery. This information is never shared with third parties or used for marketing without explicit consent.
Temporary Chat Logs: Your questions and the AI's responses are temporarily stored to improve accuracy and app performance, and are periodically deleted. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number, and chat data is never linked to your personal identity.
Anonymous App Analytics (Facebook SDK): Muslim Sphere uses the Facebook SDK solely for anonymous app event tracking — such as app opens and session duration — to help us understand general usage patterns and improve the app experience. This does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information. Data is processed anonymously in accordance with Meta's Data Policy. This is consistent with our Privacy-First principle — no personal identity is involved at any stage.

Permissions & Data Utilization
To provide accurate religious features and maintain app operations, the app requests the following permissions and processes data strictly as outlined below.
Location Services (GPS)
With your explicit consent, the app accesses your device's location for the following purpose:
Core Functionality: Calculating accurate Prayer (Salah) and Fasting (Sehar/Iftar) times for your specific coordinates.
Future First-Party Advertising: Muslim Sphere may in the future display a limited number of advertisements designed exclusively by our own team. These ads will never use third-party advertising networks such as Google Ads. If location data is used to show regionally relevant content, it will be processed ephemerally and never stored or shared with any external party. This policy will be updated before any such feature is introduced.
Location data is processed ephemerally. We do not store a permanent historical log of your location on our servers.
AI Chatbot Interactions
Our integrated AI assistant — branded as I'M AI and developed by I'M TECHNOLOGIES® — processes the questions you input to generate helpful responses. To provide this feature, your questions and the AI's responses may be processed by trusted third-party AI infrastructure providers operating under standard contractual safeguards. These providers do not receive your name, email, or phone number, and your questions are not linked to your personal identity.
Please avoid including sensitive personal details — such as your full name, exact address, or medical information — in your chat messages.
Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send important announcements and alerts. Firebase assigns an anonymous Device Token to your phone. This cannot be used to identify you personally — it is only used to route messages directly to your device.

Operational Transparency
Secure Delivery: All timing information and web content are delivered via HTTPS to ensure authenticity and encryption in transit.
Third-Party Services: We use Google Firebase for push notifications, along with trusted AI infrastructure providers and mapping/geolocation services to power the AI assistant and location-based features. These services process limited technical data (such as IP address) as operationally necessary and do not receive your name, email, or phone number. All providers operate under standard contractual safeguards.
App Local Storage & Cookies: The app does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and does not sell or share your data with advertising networks for cross-site profiling. The app may use minimal local device storage for basic functionality, such as remembering preferences or limiting how often in-app announcements appear.
Website & reCAPTCHA: The official Muslim Sphere website (muslimsphere.org) uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 on its contact form to prevent automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for spam analysis. This applies to the website contact form only — not the Android app or iOS Web App. Google's privacy policy governs this data: policies.google.com/privacy.

User Control
You can grant or revoke Location permissions at any time through your device settings.
Android: Settings → Apps → Muslim Sphere → Permissions
iOS Web App (ios.muslimsphere.org): Location access is managed via Safari. Grant or revoke permission when prompted on first use, or go to Settings → Safari → Location and adjust per-site access for muslimsphere.org.

Children's Privacy
Muslim Sphere is safe for the entire family. Because our data-minimization approach means we do not collect personal information — such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers — from any user, this includes children under 13.
This design aligns with the principles behind COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and the GDPR's data minimization requirements.
Section 06
Your Privacy Rights
Because Muslim Sphere is built on a data-minimization model, we do not maintain accounts, profiles, or identifying information — such as your name, email address, or phone number — for standard app users. If you have a specific privacy concern, for example about a chat interaction, you may contact us and we will review and respond.
Users who have subscribed to I'M AI Unlimited may request that their account information (name, email, WhatsApp number) be deleted at any time by contacting us at contact@muslimsphere.org. Requests will be processed within 30 days.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland and believe your data has been processed in a way that violates applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
